U-shape heat exchangers are very popular and commonly found in industrial use. This is mainly due to their versatility. U-shape heat exchangers is composed of tube box, barrel, head, heat exchange tube, pipe, baffle plate, anti-impact plate and diversion tube, anti-short circuit structure, supporting and other accessories of the shell and tube.
U-shaped tube heat exchanger has only one tube plate, both ends of the tube are fixed on the same tube plate, the tube can be free expansion, no thermal stress, and can also solve the problem of thermal compensation effectively.
The tube side adopts double tube side, the process is longer, the flow rate is higher, the heat transfer performance is better, the bearing capacity is strong, the tube bundle can be extracted from the shell, easy to repair and cleaning, and the structure is simple, the cost is cheap.
It is suitable for large temperature difference between pipe and shell wall, or the shell side medium ,which is easy to scale and need cleaning, and it is not suitable for floating head type and fixed tube plate. It is especially suitable for high temperature, high pressure and corrosive materials which are not easy to scale and clean in tube
